Lilburn Pride is an open and equal social group with a mission to embrace and inspire the LGBTQIA+ community around Lilburn, Georgia based on four key principles.
Recognition
Validation, acceptance, and equality for individuals of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Recognition acknowledges their struggles, celebrates their achievements, and affirms their rights as equal citizens.
Protection
Safeguarding the rights, safety, and well-being of individuals within the community. Protection means advocating for legal measures that prohibit discrimination and hate crimes.
Diversity
Encompass the wide range of identities, experiences, and perspectives within the community. Diversity acknowledges the intersecting factors of race, ethnicity, age, ability, and socioeconomic status, among others.
Respect
Embody the acknowledgment and appreciation of the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
We seek to connect with other LGBTQ+ and allied organizations through community development in order to build a thriving support network for our constituents.
We strive to teach members of our community and allies to respect and celebrate our differences through acts of service, outreach, and providing a safe space for everyone to be their most authentic selves.
